A personal trainer creates exercise regimens for game characters
Have you ever wondered how your favorite gaming characters manage to stay fit? eBuyer has teamed up with personal trainer Mike Harle to put together workout programs for Incredible Hulk, Lara Croft, Luke Skywalker, Mario, and Thor. “But don’t try this at home!”
eBuyer is an East Yorkshire based electronics retailer which was founded in 1999. Harle is the owner and operator of Frontrow Gym in Yarm.

“Well, here at eBuyer, our team thought about all of these questions and more, so much so that we set out to find out exactly what some of our favorite gaming characters would need to eat and do to stay fit. when they’re not saving the world.
Workout regimens range from relatively realistic to incredibly extravagant. Lara Croft belongs to the first category. She must be “strong, yet flexible with plenty of athletic and gymnastic prowess to defeat her foes. That means developing a healthy level of muscle without bulking up. Her training is all about cardiovascular and bodyweight training, which makes working large muscle groups simultaneously without the use of additional weights or exercise machines”.
When it comes to food, eBuyer pretty much pegged Lara Croft. “Lara is spoiled for choice. With her vast pockets of wealth, she can afford the best food in the world, which means she will have no trouble eating well while adapting her diet to perfectly complement her training. Looks like she’s having dinner with a silver spoon.
While you can probably follow Lara Croft, the same can’t be said for The Incredible Hulk. You would “need to eat a literal amount of food each day to maintain your body mass,” according to eBuyer. The kind of strong men who “pull trucks for fun” provide the best analogies in this particular case. “Strong men must train their entire body to be able to perform the feats of physical strength required in their competitions. This not only involves a variety of intense weightlifting exercises, but also explosive bursts of cardiovascular training.
Strong men have to store an incredible amount of energy. “The average strongman needs a minimum of 10,000 calories a day to maintain muscle mass. The requirements for the Dwarf Hulk that. Literal liters of protein shakes are the order of the day, along with large lots of lean meats and a healthy dose or two of mixed nuts, berries and fruits.In other words, the Incredible Hulk would stuff his face all day.
While your favorite gaming characters would have pretty extreme workout regimens, we can’t all be like Lara Croft and the Incredible Hulk. The only thing you really need to do to stay fit is eat right and exercise.
