Fortnite Mobile iOS Update: Epic Games Download Now Open | Games | Entertainment
Epic Games today announced great news for fans of the Battle Royale genre.
The Fortnite Mobile iOS version is nearing full completion, following the announcement that anyone with a compatible device can now download the game.
When launched, it was an invite-only system, which interested players had to register.
Now, Epic Games has confirmed that the game is open to all devices that run it.
This includes: iPhone SE, 6S, 7, 8, X; iPad Mini 4, Air 2, 2017, Pro.
But it should also be noted that Fortnite does NOT support: iPhone 5S, 6, 6 Plus; iPad Air, Mini 2, Mini 3, iPod Touch.
While Fortnite Mobile on iOS is now fully available to all players, it is still not finished when it comes to development.
Epic Games has confirmed that like the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game, Fortnite Mobile is still a work in progress.
You can expect plenty of new updates and fixes to roll out in the near future, bringing new content and features to the game.
Fortnite Mobile’s most recent update added a new download system so players can avoid having to grab the entire game.
Another big change that some fans will notice is that Epic Games has now added an error message when someone tries to play the game on an unsupported device.
“We’re sorry. Fortnite requires a device with 2 GB of memory to function. Fortnite works with: iPhone SE, 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, X; iPad Mini 4, Air 2, 2017, Pro ”, we read.
This should help those gamers who are unsure why they can’t use the game on their phone.

The new update also included the new Guided Missile Weapons, which give full control to players skilled enough to take a tour of the map.
The revamped Sniper Shootout v2 limited-time mode is back, with the newly added shotgun and crossbow, while the Magnum has been removed.
More updates will be rolling out in the coming weeks, with the Jetpack still set to debut in 2018.
Epic Games say they have been forced to delay its launch due to some development issues, however, there is still a chance it will arrive in April.
As for the news for Android gamers, Epic Games said the game will launch on the platform in the coming months.
This is due to the amount of different hardware on the market for the platform, which means more work is required to optimize the game for each spec sheet.
