Kratos arrives on Fortnite as Epic reports more video game characters are coming

Now that Fortnite kicked off season 5 with Disney characters The Mandalorian, this is the introduction of a new skin from the world of Sony games. You can now play as Kratos from the God of the war series, either in one skin or in a package with a Mimir back – a Norse god that you actually carry on your back. Best of all, though God of the war is a PlayStation exclusive, you can use the Kratos skin on any platform.

As we mentioned earlier, FortniteJonesy recruits various characters to secure the Zero Point power source, which is why the Mandalorian and now Kratos are present. From a tweet from @FNBRLeaks, the Master Chief of Halo could arrive soon too.

All of these characters are exclusive to their respective platforms, but they have one thing in common. They are part of titles that have just been released (in the case of The Mandalorian) or should be released soon, as the Infinite halo (exclusive to Xbox Series X) and God of the war which is slated for release on the PS5 in 2021. To that end, they would help Sony and Microsoft promote these games and keep users excited about them.

All of this is good news for Fortnite players, as they basically play with a mix of characters from different universes, like in some old school DC / Marvel crossovers. You can get the Kratos skin or pack now, and if you pair up from a PlayStation 5, you’ll also unlock the Armored Kratos Style bonus skin.
